Lenny Rush series starts October 4

The BBC has released the official trailer to The Reluctant Vampire – while announcing a release date of October 4.

Adapted from novels written by Eric Morecambe, the series stars Lenny Rush in the title role of Val, trying to live up to his father Victor’s (Tom Davis's) high expectations.

The cast also features Sian Clifford as Val's doting mum Valeeta, Joe Wilkinson as a werewolf and Asim Chaudhry as the family's assistant.

Charlie Cooper and Esther Smith are villagers, while Bill Bailey and Ross Noble make cameos as gargoyles.

The series was scripted by Alan Partridge writers Rob and Neil Gibbons.
