A Christmas Carol from the ghosts' perspective

Apple has today unveiled the trailer for its Christmas musical comedy, Spirited starring Will Ferrell, Ryan Reynolds and Octavia Spencer.

The movie – which will drop on Apple TV+ on November 18 – is another reimagining of the Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol.
 
Each Christmas Eve, the Ghost of Christmas Present (Ferrell) selects one dark soul to be reformed by a visit from three spirits. But this season, he picked the wrong Scrooge. Clint Briggs (Reynolds) turns the tables on his ghostly host until Present finds himself reexamining his own past, present and future. 

Producers say it is the first time the story has been is told from the perspective of the ghosts.
 
Spirited  is directed by Sean Anders and written by Sean Anders and John Morris, with original songs by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
