First look at Holding, ITV's adaptation of Graham Norton's novel

Comedy-drama launches next month

ITV has released the first trailer for its new comedy-drama Holding, an adaptation of Graham Norton's bestselling debut novel.

The four-part series, directed by Kathy Burke, will air next month.

It stars Conleth Hill as the hapless police sergeant PJ Collins, who has to solve his first ever serious crime in the fictional  insular village of Duneen, West Cork, when the body of long-lost local legend Tommy Burke is discovered.

Siobhán McSweeney (Sister Michael in Derry Girls) plays Bríd Riordan who had been due to marry Tommy before his untimely disappearance, and Father Ted's Pauline McLynn is  busybody Eileen.
