Ismo Leikola becomes first Finnish stand-up on US TV

Ismo Leikola has become the first Finnish stand-up to appear on American TV.

The comic spoke about the vagaries of American slang and euphemism in his set, including why 'ass' was the most complicated word in the English language.

In 2014, Leikola won the ’Funniest Person in the World’ competition organised by the Laugh Factory in Hollywood.

Conan O'Brien said the comic's set on his TBS talk show last night as a first for US television.
