Caroline Clifford – Original Review
Note: This review is from 2006
Review by Steve Bennett
Caroline Clifford offers some fresh, appealing, and jet-black ideas, but can struggle to present them to their best advantage. When a brutally dark set covers miscarriage and lung cancer within 60 seconds, it can be a bit too strong to stomach. But when she moves on to bitching gleefully at the expense of her ex's new girlfriend, it’s more accessible, and better received. She's got plenty of imaginative ideas, and a delicious cruel streak, when this newcomer works out how to coalesce these into routines as strong as her best, she'll be unstoppable.
