Warburton's background as a journalist no doubt helps him with the wordplay that forms the backbone of his act, and he often aims to be more involved than simple punnery .

It’s not unwaveringly solid, with some weak lines and weaker observations marring the best of his set. However, he sells it all well, with an effective, chummy stance that wins him many friends.
