These two energetic young performers explore their world through a myriad of easily identifiable characters, from disgruntled coffee shop girls to Irish old biddies.

The sisters clearly have a quirky outlook on life and spin easily in and out of characters, all the while trading the sort of competitive ribbing we've come to expect from double acts.

They are clearly talented, making most of their flair for accents and observations while pondering such inane questions as "if you had to, Richard Madeley or Eamonn Holmes"?

Their range of references is fairly limited, stuck firmly in the mid-Eighties of their childhood, with allusions to Rigsby, Sue Ellen, Bros and the like, yet there are gems in the script, too.

But we've seen and heard this all before, in countless female pairings, most recently from Fringe faves Susan and Janice, and this pair seemed to be entertaining themselves more than the wider audience.

Gavin and Gavin have bags of potential, but not yet enough originality or strong material to set them apart.
