Phoenix Nights inspires a death metal song

Based on *that* bouncy castle scene

comedyThe X-rated ‘Sammy Snake’ bouncy castle from Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights has inspired a death metal song.

Hartlepool five-piece Ovulating Cadaver have today released a track called Inflatable Filth, the description Kay’s nightclub owner Brian Potter used when he discovered the attraction he’d hired for a family fund day featured a giant penis.

The chorus goes: ‘Phallic, throbbing, veiny, tall / 20 foot cock and balls / Children please avert your eyes / From the penis in disguise’.

In the Channel 4 sitcom, bouncy castle supplier Eric (Bernard Wrigley) tried to discuss the offending protuberance as ‘Sammy Snake’ with googly eyes.

As per their own description on Spotify, Ovulating Cadaver  are ‘known for brutally heavy, relentless and comedic live shows delivering a punishing live experience and unforgiving sonic assault’.

Here is the original scene from Phoenix Nights:

In 2021 the actual bouncy castle from the show attracted bids of more than £5,000 when it was put up for auction on eBay.
