Comic is banished to the garden
Iain Stirling has admitted he does gigs just to himself in his garden when wife Laura Whitmore gets fed up with him testing material on him.
Speaking on the Heart breakfast show today, the comic and voice of Love Island said: ‘I try and gig three, four times a week because I'm sort of obsessed with it.
‘If I don't gig three, four times a week, I will start doing material at Laura. And then she will literally say to me, "I'm going to put the little one to bed tonight. Please go outside and do a gig so can you stop doing material when I'm trying to make a chilli con carne."
When co-host Zoe Hardman asked him: ‘And you're just doing it in the garden to yourself?’, Stirling replied: ‘I do sometimes. I do try and drop little bits in.
‘But generally speaking, we just chat like a sort of couple. I mean, like couples on podcast, but we do that in private…’
