What a whopper!

Reports of Julian Clary's stand-up retirement may be exaggerated

comedySeems like Julian Clary is enlarging his vicissitude.

A press release for his 2019 Born To Mince tour ejaculates: 'This might well be the final mince…'

But it seems Clary's end might not be in sight.

For further inquiries with his publicist expose the whopper. When asked if the comic is hanging up his slingbacks for good, they said: 'It is simply that Julian hasn’t yet decided whether he will continue touring beyond Born To Mince.'

Since the tour doesn't end until June next year, that's not a decision he needs to make particularly urgently.

And nor is he publishing a memoir called A Night At The Lubricant, as the show blurb also suggests, though that suggestion always appeared more tongue in cheek.

Tickets for Born To Mince go on sale tomorrow.
