New schemes ties in with telly fest

Ten Fringe comedians have been picked to have their work showcased to executives at the Edinburgh TV festival.

They are Dee Allum, Joshua Bethania (pictured), Sian Davies, Jake Donaldson,  Ania Magliano, Sam Williams, Rowan Armitt-Brewster. Elf Lyons , Megan Prescott and Temi Wilkey.

All will perform excerpts of their shows at events on  August 21 and 22 where they will receive feedback from Jim Donnelly,  comedy development executive at Universal Television, Charlie Perkins, head of comedy at Channel 4 and Jon Petrie, comedy commissioning director at the BBC.

The initiative is the first time that the Fringe and TV festivals have joined forces.
