Meanwhile, American comic Leah Lamarr has teamed up with British stand-up Bella Hull to make a new podcast about toxicity called  Rats of The Roundtable.

Starting this Thursday each episode will discuss t gossip, their own failures and what rat-like behaviour has caught their attention that week.

Hull said: 'This podcast was built on a mutual love for gossip, confessions, and the kind of rabid honesty that makes you think "Wow. I cant believe she just said that"'.

Lamarr added" "It all started with an admiration for cultural differences between England and America, as well as a love for all things absolutely idiotic, psychotic and hilarious. Come have a deranged little laugh with us."

The show is produced by Stuart Laws for Turtle Canyon Comedy and released through Acast.

And in other podcast news, comedians Jon Pearson and Patrick Draper have started Lower The Tone, a show to share their middle-aged weight loss journey. Listen here.

Any money you contribute will directly fund more reviews, interviews and features – the sort of in-depth coverage that is increasingly difficult to fund from ever-squeezed advertising income, but which we think the UK’s vibrant comedy scene deserves.
