Pete Teckman named Not So New Comedian Of The Year

Annual contest for more seasoned circuit acts

Pete Teckman has won this year’s Not So New Comedian Of The Year competition.

The 61-year-old comic from Northampton – who previously won the Silver Stand Up competition at the Leicester Comedy Festival in 2017 – took home £250.

Second place went to Sallyann Fellowes, with the single-named Javier coming third.

The final took place last night at London's Museum Of Comedy,  which organises the annual competition for over-35s who ‘have been around long enough to know better’. Acts must have been on the circuit for five years or more.

The other finalists were Adam Larter, Arielle Souma, Garrie Grubb, Georgia Thorp, Mark Flynn, Matt Smith, Saban Kazim, Simon Jay and Zoe Brownstone.
