Life On The Blink starts next month

Radio 4 has confirmed an air date for Jamie MacDonald’s new stand-up show, Life On The Blink.

The four-part series, which will start at 11pm on May 5, explores how the former BBC New Comedy Award finalist used humour to turn denial into acceptance when he  found himself rapidly going blind in his teens.

The Glaswegian said: ‘I've loved BBC Radio 4 comedy all my life. The station has been a launch pad for some of my favourite comedians and I can't believe I've now been given my own series.

‘The only time I've been this excited and terrified was when my mate let me drive his car!’

The 15-minute episodes are  produced by Julia Sutherland for Dabster Productions.
