Katherine Ryan to front awards show

Katherine Ryan is to host the NME Awards with broadcaster Julie Adenuga, it has been announce today.

The comic joked: 'I hope to get pregnant by a rock star' as she fronts the ceremony at the O2 Academy Brixton, South London, on Wednesday February 12.

The 1975 will be closing the ceremony with Yungblud and Beabadoobee also performing.

Adenuga, a DJ on Apple Music Beats, said: 'Co-hosting the NME Awards with Katherine is like three dreams coming true at once. I knew I had to work with Katherine after watching her Live at the Apollo and getting stomach cramps from laughing so hard..'
