BBC Studios boosts its audio comedy team

New producer and executive appointed

BBC Studios has appointed a new producer and executive producer to its audio comedy team.

Claire Broughton, who is the new exec, joins from Hat Trick, where she worked as a development producer on projects such as Episodes, The Armstrong And Miller Show and Spy. 

She previously produced the Radio 4 series Before They Were Famous and God’s Work and was associate producer on Boomers for BBC One. 

Leila Navabi is as a producer, working on shows such as The Now Show and Newsjack, as well as  working with comedians at the start of their broadcasting careers, such as  Darren Harriot, Sindhu Vee and Twayna Mayne

Julia McKenzie, creative director of the BBC Studios’ audio team, said: ‘It’s a really exciting time as we continue to produce a diverse range of comedy and entertainment shows and podcasts, develop talent and launch new voices.’
