Channel 4 drops Joe Lycett series
Channel 4 has pulled the plug on Travel Man after a decade.
The show, fronted by Joe Lycett, has not aired since early last year – and now The Sun reports that the show has been axed.
It was originally hosted by Richard Ayoade, who oversaw nine series, with Lycett taking over in 2011, doing four series.
Each episode featured a guest comedian going on a 48-hour city break with the host. The 57 instalments have included Phil Wang in Washington, Sarah Millican in Vilnius, Bob Mortimer in Hamburg and James Acaster in the Basque Country.
Channel 4 declined to comment.
But Lycett – who appears on BBC One’s Celebrity Traitors from tonight – retains links with Channel 4, hosting the chaotic live Friday night show The Lycett Arms.
