Gilded Balloon announces 105 Edinburgh Fringe shows
Including Gregor Fisher and Traitors winner Hannah Byczkowski
Gregor Fisher, Phil Nichol and the first winner of TV's The Traitors will be performing at the Gilded Balloon during the year’s Edinburg Fringe.
The venue – which will be returning to its Teviot home this August – is putting 105 new shows on sale today.
Rab C Nesbitt and Only Child star Fisher will be sharing stories from his life and career, while Traitors champion Hannah Byczkowski is performing her debut show, Killer, is billed as a darkly comic hour.
Nichol appears twice in the programme, with a new show, Aren't We Lucky, and a revival of The Naked Racist, marking the 20th anniversary of his Edinburgh comedy award win.
The next official announcement of Fringe shows is due on Wednesday, featuring everything that has made the early-bird deadline for cheaper registration fees. But larger venues have been reveal their slates in advance, with Assembly revealing much of its line-up on Friday.
Madeleine Brettingham, who won the So You Think You're Funny? newcomer competition last year, will perform her debut show Legend, which explores myth, identity and growing up, at Gilded Balloon. American comedian Rich Hall returns with Chin Music, and Fiona Allen, best known as one of the cast of sketch show Smack The Pony, brings a new show called White Lies about social anxiety.
American comic Guy Branum – a regular panelist on Chelsea Lately and a star of 2022 film Bros – brings Fruitful, to the Gilded Balloon, blending humour with social commentary.
Deborah Frances-White presents her popular podcast and live show The Guilty Feminist to the Fringe, while Scottish comedians Kim Blythe and Kathleen Hughes, are also in the line-up
Other comedy shows include Adi Parmar: Sunny Boy, Fab Goualin: Mixed Messages, Eva Peroni: Jungled, Good Grief - Edinburgh Fringe 2025 at Chortle.co.uk">Aoife Dunne: Good Grief and Reuben Solo: Someone in This Crowd Will Betray Me [Revenge Edition].
More announcements will be made by Gilded Balloon and other venues leading up to August's festival.
