Which comedies are up for 2025 Rose D’Or awards?

Nominees announced

Jack Rooke’s Big Boys and Rosie Jones’s Pushers have been nominated for best comedy at the prestigious Rose D’Or international TV awards.

And Last One Laughing UK (pictured), Mitchell & Webb Are Not Helping and Rob Vs Romesh have been nominated in the comedy entertainment category.

The shortlists were announced today ahead of the ceremony, which will be in London on December 1, hosted by  Dara O Briain.

It was also revealed that Netflix drama Adolescence, co-created by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham, will receive the event’s most prestigious honour – The Golden Rose – ‘in recognition of its emotional and cultural impact’.

Big Boys and Pushers – which both aired on Channel 4 – are nominated in the comedy drama and sitcom category.

They are up against New Zealand musical comedy Happiness, Amazon’s big-budget anti-superhero series The Boys, Seth Rogan’s Apple TV hit  The Studio, and Sweden’s Cold War satire Whisky On The Rocks.

Meanwhile, the non-British shows in the comedy entertainment category are Japan’s Ants – a physical gameshow in which contestants have to work together like a real ant colony to haul oversized food items across epic obstacle courses, Australian topical panel show Have You Been Paying Attention? and Belgian’s Ultimate Celebrity Car Park Showdown.
