...or rather Diane Morgan is cast in the latest series
Philomena Cunk star Diane Morgan has joined the Marvel universe.
The comedian has landed a role in the upcoming Disney+ series VisionQuest, the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision.
The show revolves around the super-powered android Vision, as played by Paul Bettany since his first appearance in the 2015 movie Avengers: Age of Ultron
Morgan – who also starred in Motherland – will play an associate of a mercenary called Paladin, Hollywood trade website Variety reports.
By coincidence, Morgan is set to play an android in the forthcoming BBC comedy Ann Droid, which she co-wrote with fellow comic Sarah Kendall and which began shooting last month.
Also in the cast of VisionQuest are Todd Stashwick as Paladin; James Spader as Ultron; Lauren Morais as Lisa Molinari – aka Coat Of Arms given that she wears a coat that gives her two extra pairs of arms – and Ruaridh Mollica, who revives his Wandavision character of Thomas Shepherd.
It is the second spin-off from WandaVision following Agatha All Along and is set to drop in late 2026.
