Taskmaster plans a live tour

Producers ask fans where Greg Davies and Alex Horne should visit

Greg Davies and Alex Horne are set to take Taskmaster on the road.

Avalon, the producers of the Channel 4 show and a major player in the world of live comedy promotion, are looking to put together a tour ‘to bring the chaos, tasks and laughter to fans everywhere’.

Viewers who signed up to the show's mailing list have been sent a survey asking them where they are based in a bid to build up a touring schedule.

It could well be an international affair, with the US, Canada, Australia/New Zealand, the Netherlands and Germany given as default options – while the email inviting people to fill the form out spoke of the Taskmaster plotting 'world domination’.

The tour would follow the Taskmaster Live Experience which took over an East London warehouse which ran from last autumn and into February.

It comes as series 20 comes to an end next week, with  Ania Magliano, Maisie Adam, Phil Ellis, Reece Shearsmith and Sanjeev Bhaskar vying to win Greg’s golden head.

The winner will join Sam CampbellJohn RobinsAndy Zaltzman and Mathew Baynton in a Champion Of Champions special airing over Christmas.

And last week it was announced that Taskmaster’s New Year Treat will run over two episodes for the first time ever.

The current series launched in September, with the first episode attracting just under 3million viewers in its first month.
