Comedians' line-up announced
The line-up has been announced for the next series of Live At The Apollo – the 19th run of BBC Two's stand-up showcase.
Seven new 45-minute episodes, including a Christmas special, were filmed at the titular venue in West London this autumn.
The festive ediiton is hosted by Judi Love who introduces Dan Tiernan and John Kearns, above.
Other acts to appear across the series are: Babatunde Aléshé, Chloe Petts, Lindsey Santoro, Paul Chowdhry, Ania Magliano, Ian Smith, Tim Renkow, Janine Harouni, Stuart Goldsmith, Sara Pascoe, Amy Gledhill, Eddie Kadi, Iain Stirling, Harriet Dyer, Maria Shehata, Joel Dommett, Fatiha El-Ghorrie, Jamie MacDonald
Live At The Apollo is made by Open Mike Productions with Andrew Beint the executive producer and Anthony Caveney the series producer.
The BBC has also announced the comedians will feature in a number of celebrity specials of its favourite shows this Christmas.
Fatiha El Ghorri will be taking part in The Great Christmas Sewing Bee, hosted by Sara Pascoe, where she will compete against Steps singer Ian ‘H’ Watkins, EastEnders actor Kellie Bright and Geordie Shore personality Charlotte Crosby as they put their twist on a pattern for an advent calendar.
A Christmas edition of Would I Lie To You? features Jimmy Carr, Laura Smyth, Rustie Lee and Lenny Rush as the guests.
Joining Sandi Toksvig for the QI Christmas Special will be Gyles Brandreth, Lulu, Emmanuel Sonubi, and Alan Davies, while the contestants on the festive week of Richard Osman’s House Of Games will be Ghosts star Jim Howick, Gladiator Matt Morsia, Rebecca Lucy Taylor (aka singer Self Esteem) and comedy actor Susan Wokoma.
And as previously announced, Rob Beckett will take on Joel Dommett, and Breakfast TV presenter Louise Minchin battle Ellie Taylor in a Gladiators celebrity special.
