British Podcast Awards for The Skewer and Elis James & John Robins
Radio 4’s satirical audio mash-up show The Skewer has been named best comedy at the British Podcast awards.
The news comes as a tenth series of the programme, produced by Jon Holmes, prepares to launch on October 11.
Elis James and John Robins won the gold award for best entertainment show for their BBC Radio 5 show.
James tweeted: 'No speeches this year, so rest assured had I been able to speak I would have shouted ‘JUSTICE’ into the mic ten times before doing those arms Liam did at Knebworth.’

Second place went to Help I Sexted My Boss hosted by William Hanson and Jordan North and third place went to Radio 4's Bang On It with Michelle De Swarte and Laura Smyth.
Wooden Overcoats - a sitcom podcast about rival funeral directors – won the drama category.
Brown Girls Do It Too, hosted by funnywomen Subina Pabani and Poppy Jay, took the bronze in the sex and relationships section and British Scandal, hosted by Matt Forde and Alice Levine, took the bronze in the history category.
