Joe Lycett is to throw a ‘huge queer party’ on Channel 4
Joe Lycett is to host a ‘huge queer party’ on Channel 4 this Christmas.
Mummy’s Big Christmas Do! will be a 90-minute special celebrating LGBTQ+ culture with music, stand-up and interviews.
The show will be broadcast from Lycett’s home town of Birmingham, and he said: ‘We’ve already booked a ton of amazing guests – expect drag queens, beloved TV huns, queer icons and allies.’
Lycett broke the news on Twitter as he sought audiences for the recording.
He said he wants the studio to be full of ‘amazing talents, astonishing outfits and brilliant stories from the queer community in Birmingham and beyond’ and asked: ‘Can you strap your stuff on a catwalk? Do you have an insane coming out story? Fancy doing your impressive party trick live on TV? I want to know!’
He asked for those who want to be involved to email mummy@joelycett.com with details and a photo.
