Another comedian gets a break on BBC One show

Chris McCausland is to make his debut on Have I Got News For You.

The blind comedian will be on Ian Hislop’s team for the episode airing on November 29 and said: 'Can’t believe it to be honest, my mind is blown!'

The show will be hosted by Peaky Blinders actress Helen McCrory, making her debut.

This series of the BBC’s long-running topical show has given breaks to many stand-ups for the first time.

Ivo Graham made his debut last week and Maisie Adam will make hers on November 22. There is no episode this week because Children In Need takes over the BBC schedules.

It has not yet been revealed who will be on Paul Merton’s team opposite McCausland – who has previously appeared on Would I Lie To You, the CBeebies series Me Too! and an advertising campaign for Barclays.
