The week's best comedy on demand.

Bojack Horseman

The sixth and, sadly, final season of the animated comedy that goes much deeper than its premise has just dropped on Netflix, with the titular character - a washed-up former sitcom star - genuinely trying to improve his life rather than destroy everything. The second half of the season will be released in January. Watch the new episodes here here.

Dolemite Is My Name

In Eddie Murphy’s first 18-rated film for 20 years, he plays real-life comedian and film-maker Rudy Ray Moore, best known for portraying the character of Dolemite in both his stand-up and a series of 1970s blaxploitation films. The film received predominantly positive reviews following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, with many saying the Netflix original is a return to form for Murphy. Watch here.

Jenny Slate: Stage Fright

Jenny Slate played a fictionalised stand-up in 2014 movie Obvious Child. But now she gets her first comedy special of her own… with her silly and gleeful performance mixed with documentary footage with her family that explores her psyche and her stage fright. Watch here.

The Nether Regions

This is a decent new sketch show from Radio 4 - not entirely surprising given it comes from Red Dwarf co-creator Rob Grant and 2.4 Children writer Andrew Marshall, who previously collaborated on The Quanderhorn Xperimentations, The pair also perform, alongside Helen Cripps, Edward Rowett and Holly Morgan. Listen here.

Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend

John Oliver is the guest on this week’s episode of the podcast. He tells the talks show host the silliest ways he has spent his show's budgets, performing with the Cambridge Footlights, and why he can never watch The Great British Bake Off (called The Great British Baking Show in America). And, of course, the fact he turned down an OBE. Listen here.

The Beef and Dairy Network Podcast

Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman joins Benjamin Partridge for this week's episode of the long-running podcast in the role of Tusk Henderson, celebrity adventurer. Listen here.
