Open auditions in London, Manchester and Birmingham

E4 is looking for comedians who could be one of the next faces of the channel. 

The broadcaster is to hold a roadshow in Liverpool and Birmingham this weekend, and London the following week, as part of its bid to try  find stars of the future.

‘E4 and [production company] Fully Focused are hoping to reach out to some of the promising unique talent in the local area - whether it be presenters, actors or comedians,’ the broadcaster said in a statement, adding they were seeking talent ‘from across a range of diverse backgrounds’. Prior broadcast experience is not required.

Applications can be made online here. Applicants must be 18 years old or over.

Nick Bedu, head of production at Fully Focused, said:  ‘We want to find, develop and nurture a new wave of talent, so if you think you’re the next big thing, then we’d love to meet you.’

The sessions will be at the entrance to St John’s shopping centre in Liverpool from 10am to 5pm this Saturday; Rotunda Square in the Bullring Centre in Birmingham from 11am to 5.30pm on Sunday; and in Carnaby Street, London, from 11am to 5.30pm on November 2.

Successful applicants will be given training to help with their development, and a selected group will then be given exposure on E4, which could include digital content, social media, continuity announcing or starring in new shows.
