James Corden to be replaced as host of A League Of Their Own

At least for a few episodes because of his US workload

James Corden is to take time away from the host’s chair on Sky One’s  A League Of Their Own because of the pressures of his workload.

The comic has hosted the comedy sports panel show for nine years, but now the pressures of his US chat show have apparently become too much.

It means he will miss the first few episodes of the next series, to be replaced by a series of guest hosts.

News of his temporary departure was reported in The Sun – owned, like Sky, by Rupert Murdoch.

An unnamed source told the newspaper’s Bizarre column: ‘James loves A League Of Their Own and has always ensured he’s been able to appear while his career booms in the States.

‘But this summer, work commitments mean he cannot make all of the shows. Hopefully next year he’ll return to normal as he misses everybody involved.’

Corden said that when he first took his chat-show job with CBS, he insisted he still be allowed time to make A League Of Their Own as he loved hosting it so much.
