Stephen Buchanan is Scottish Comedian Of The Year 2018

Winner crowned in Glasgow

 Stephen Buchanan has been named this year's Scottish Comedian Of The Year.

The comic previously won this year's BBC New Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. and this was his third time in the SCOTY final.

Donald Alexander was runner-up and  Ross Leslie placed third in last night's final at the Rotunda in Glasgow tonight. Scott Agnew, who won this title a decade ago, compered.

Other finalists in the competition – which is open to stand-ups of all levels of experience –  were Marc Jennings, Donald Alexander,  Allan Park, Raheil Ahmad, Paul Mcdaniel and Natalie Sweeney Potter.
