Alan Carr, Josh Widdecombe and Murder In Successville’s Tom Davis are to appear in the first European Roadtrip undertaken by comedy sports quiz A League Of Their Own.

Sky One has just confirmed the series, originally reported by Chortle back in March, following a number of escapades in America.

The broadcaster describes the four hour-long episodes, due to air in 2019, as a ‘pre-Brexit tour’.

Other guests joining Jamie Redknapp and Freddie Flintoff will include Spice Girl Geri Horner, cricket legend Kevin Pietersen, boxing champion Anthony Joshua, tennis champions Jamie Murray and Novak Djokovik, footballers Ruud Gullit and John Barnes,  racing driver  Vicky Butlet Henderson, cyclist Mark Cavendish, and chef Gernnaro Contaldo.

Sporting challenges will include trying to score from the spot at the San Siro in Italy, stepping up to the oche at the PDC Unibet Premier League darts tournament in Rotterdam, chancing the tables in the famous casinos of Monaco – and flower arranging in Holland.
