Teen comic 'has already signed book deal'

Teenage comic Jack Carroll has been named runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent 2013, narrowly losing out to winners Attraction.

The 14-year-old, who has cerebral palsy, met bookies' predicitions, as he went into tonight's final as second-favourite to the Hungarian shadow dance group.

After learning the result, Jack told hosts Ant and Dec: 'It's been an amazing experience and thinks everyone for voting for me.'

He has reportedly already landed landing a book deal to tell all about his life; while talent show guru Simon Cowell is said to be lining up TV and DVD agreements that may make him a millionaire, the Sunday People has revealed.

Carroll said: 'I’d like my own TV show and I’ve written a few things, I’m just not sure if it’s good enough.'

The teenager from Huddersfield was a hit with viewers from the moment he appeared in the auditions, when Cowell asked him about his act - and he replied: 'I’m a professional gymnast.'

Judge David Walliams has branded Carroll ‘the new Peter Kay’ and at the audition stage told him: ‘I wasn’t as funny as you at 14, I’m not even as funny now as you are now at 14 years old. It was incredible. Every joke was a winner.’

Carroll has also been mentored by Jason Manford, who he met when he appeared on The One Show in 2010.

Here is his performance in the final:
