Fourth series will be the last

BBC Three sitcom Him & Her is to come to an end after four series.

The channel today announced that filming the final six episodes will start this summer, ready to air later in the year.

Its final series will be entirely set at the wedding of Laura, the sister of Sarah Solemani’s lead character Becky, played by Kerry Howard.

Writer Stefan Golaszewski says: ‘After three series in Steve and Becky's bedsit, we're moving them into the outside world as we reach the final chapter of their story. It's been a great few years and I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such a talented team.’

Producer Kenton Allen added: ‘Stefan's brilliant dissection of young love and all the problems that come with it have given us four series of perfectly realised writing, acting and technical achievement. We're so proud of H&H and think it will stand the ultimate test of time.

The series also stars Russell Tovey; while Richard Laxton, who has directed all 18 episodes to date, will also helm the final series
