Debut DVDs for Walsh and Widdicombe

(And Adam Hills gets a UK first, too)

Josh Widdicombe and Seann Walsh have both signed deals to release their first live DVDs.

The comics will both be recording their shows at Hammersmith Apollo on the same day, for release by Universal Pictures in November.

Widdicombe's DVD comes just five years after his first ever gig and two years after his first solo show. Last year he became a regular on Channel 4's Stand-Up For The Week and is now one of Adam Hills's sidekicks on The Last Leg.

Walsh is slightly more experienced, having started stand-up in 2006. He was nominated for the Breakthrough act in the 2010 Chortle awards and his TV appearances include Mock The Week and Argumental.

The pair often tour together, and their double bill of DVD recordings will take place on September 26. Click here for tickets.

Four days earlier, Hills will be recording his first British DVD, also at the Hammersmith Apollo and also for Univeral Pictures. The gig will also be his only full-length live show in London this year. Click here for tickets.

His 2009 show Inflatable - recorded at Melbourne's Athenaeum Theatre - was released in the UK last year; and a stand-up special was recorded for Channel 4 at Christmas, as part of his exclusive deal with the broadcaster. However this will be his first UK show to be released on DVD.

All three acts are represented by the Off The Kerb agency.
