Double comedy nominees at South Bank awards

Sky Atlantic has dominated the comedy nominations in this year’s South Bank Awards.

Both Alan Partridge: Welcome To The Places of My Life and Julia Davis’s series Hunderby have been shortlisted in the comedy section of the awards, which have categories celebrating all art forms.

And those nominees might play well with the sponsor... sister station Sky Arts.

BBC Two’s Olympics show Twenty Twelve completes the shortlist, compiled by a panel of expert judges.

The winners will be announced at an event on March 12, hosted by Melvyn Bragg, and broadcast on Sky Arts two days later.
