Sarah Millican announces tour

...Until May 2014

Sarah Millican has announced a mammoth 86-date tour – stretching as far as May 2014.

The comic’s new show, Home Bird, will be her third national tour, and will revolve around settling down – not that she was one for the big nights out in the first place.

Blurb for the show says: ‘[Millican] is giving up the party scene (Ann Summers), easing off on the drinking (fizzy pop equals wealthy dentists) and is settling down (taking her bra off).’

The tour starts in Stockton on September 13 next year, and concludes in May 2014 in Buxton. It includes eight nights in the Tyne Theatre in her native Newcastle.

Click here for the tour schedule – and tickets go on sale from 10am tomorrow.

Millican, who starred in her own BBC Two show earlier this year, was voted as Queen of Comedy at last year’s British Comedy Awards.

The DVD of her last tour, Thoroughly Modern Millican, will be released on November 12 this year, for the Christmas market. Click here to preorder.
