Lee Evans hits the big screen

See every bead of sweat in 3D

Lee Evans’s new DVD is to be screened across 69 cinemas across the UK – in 3D, and all on the same night.

His Roadrunner show is the first stand-up tour to have been filmed in 3D, and will be shown across the network of Vue Cinemas on Sunday November 27 – the day before it is released on disc.

The show was recorded at London’s O2 Arena last month as part of his 67-date arena tour.

DVD distributors Universal said the 3D filming ‘perfectly encompasses his spectacular stage show and shows off all his physical hilarity.’

This year, Vue has already screened 3D concerts by JLS and Peter Gabriel as well as a Royal Opera House production of Carmen and Handel’s Messiah recorded at Kings College Cambridge.
