Kathy Griffin coming to the UK

First appearance in four years

Controversial American comedy star Kathy Griffin is to perform in London for the first time in four years.

The comic, who appeared on Seinfeld, Suddenly Susan and in her own reality show, will be performing a ‘one night only’ gig at the Palace Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue on June 19.

It follows the Broadway run of her one-woman show Kathy Griffin Wants A Tony.

Promoters say she will be ‘bringing her rapid-fire wit to a variety of topical British subjects’ for the London shows.

Griffin says she has been banned from a number of US shows because of her material, and she was axed from covering the red carpet at awards shows by the E! channel after joking that Dakota Fanning, then age 11, had entered rehab.

Tickets, priced £30 will go on sale on Monday here.
