Lenny goes back to the Bard

Starring role in A Comedy Of Errors

Lenny Henry is to embark on another Shakespearean role, in a new National Theatre production of The Comedy of Errors.

The comic, who first took on the Bard when he played Othello two years ago, will star as Antipholus of Syracuse in the Christmas production.

Chris Jarman, a star of Sister Act, will play his identical twin brother in the show, which will be staged at the Olivier theatre and directed by the Royal Court’s Dominic Cooke.

Henry won the 2009 Evening Standard Award for most promising newcomer for his performance of Othello.
