Solid comedy ratings for BBC Two

Decent audiences for returning shows

BBC Two’s new Tuesday night comedy line-up got off to a decent start in the ratings last night.

The new series of That Mitchell And Webb Look won the biggest audience of the returning comedy shows, attracting 1.8million viewers to its 9pm slot.

That wasn’t quite enough to beat the 2million who watched Channel 4’s factual show The Fairy Jobmother, but still represented a respectable eight per cent of all viewers, before the likes of iPlayer viewings are taken into account.

Mitchell And Webb were followed by the return of Reeves and Mortimer’s Shooting Stars, attracting 1.54m (6.7 per cent) and a rerun of Miranda Hart’s sitcom Miranda, which was watched by one million viewers.
