C4 orders 5th series of IT crowd

The IT Crowd has landed a fifth series before the fourth has even aired. its creator Graham Linehan has revealed.

He broke the news at a preview screening of two episodes of the next series, which is due to premiere on Channel 4 on June 25.

But MediaGuardian reports that after four seasons of writing The IT Crowd alone, he wants put together a team of writers to work on the fifth series.

At the screenng, cast members Katherine Parkinson and Richard Ayoade described Linehan's directing style as ‘chaotic but brilliant’.
