Revealed: Peter Kay's new tour dates

21 nights in seven cities

Peter Kay has announced 24 new dates in seven cities across 2010 and 2011.

The new gigs will follow his record-breaking 20-night run at the Manchester MEN Arena in April and May.

Kay will then take the show to London’s O2 and arenas in Newcastle, Cardiff , Sheffield and Belfast over all the weekends in November and early December 2010.

Then in April 2011, he will perform at Birmingham, Glasgow and Liverpool.

It has also been rumoured that he could be announcing a gig at Edinburgh Castle during the 2011 Fringe.

Tickets for the new dates will go on sale at 11am this Friday, December 4, and are likely to sell out within minutes – even though some of the dates are still 16 months away.

Kay announced he would be taking his ‘tour that doesn’t tour’ out of Manchester at the weekend.

On his website he wrote: ‘Thanks to overwhelming demand, the The Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour is going to have to go on tour, even if it’s just to try to dilute the ticket prices that some people are charging on e-bay.

‘I’m just in the final stages of putting it together, they’ll [sic] hopefully be an announcement next week, but first and foremost it’s going to be a crackin show!’
