Armstrong & Miller return

Work starts on series two

Filming has begun on a second series of BBC One sketch show The Armstrong & Miller Show.

The new six-part run, to be made by Hat Trick Productions and the duo’s own company Toff Productions, is scheduled to air in spring 2009 on BBC One.

The pair promise new characters including The White Devil, a self-important ex-pat in Africa; Jilted Jim, dumped at the altar but still on his honeymoon; Dennis Lincoln-Park, an accident-prone culture buff; and the Old Clubber, a fortysomething Ibiza veteran/company accountant.

They said: ‘We are both covered with excitement to be returning to BBC One with another heaving pallet of characters and sketches.’

The new series will also feature David Armand, Jim Howick, Lucy Montgomery and Martha Howe-Douglas, and the League Of Gentlemen’s Jeremy Dyson will act as ‘script guru’.
