Peter Kay filming in Blackpool

Star's secret new project

Peter Kay has been spotted filming on Blackpool beach.

But the comic, dressed in an anorak and woolly hat, was trying to keep a low profile; and beat a hasty retreat when photographers from the local paper arrived.

It is not know what Kay’s next TV project will be, following the ratings success of his reality TV spoof on Channel 4 earlier this month.

He was seen filming with the donkeys on the beach near North Pier, filming a supposedly top-secret scene for a new TV show.

After he was seen filming, he stopped to sign a couple of autographs, before ducking into a silver Mercedes and driving off. Later, her and his 20-strong production crew were spotted in a local restaurant, the Blackpool Gazette reports.

The comic filmed his first live DVD – Top of the Tower – in the resort.
