More Lager?
New sitcom from Two Pints team
The team behind Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps are working on a new teenage sitcom.Coming Of Age has been written by the previously unknown 18-year-old writer Tim Dawson, and producers will be hoping it can replicate the success of their earlier hit.
Two Pints was similarly written by Susan Nickson when she was in her early twenties and has become a staple of the BBC Three schedule, even though it is generally disliked by critics.
A pilot episode of Coming Of Age will be shot in front of a studio audience in London next month, for BBC Three.
It follows five friends - Tom, Lucy, Jas, DK and James – ‘as they suffer the delights, surprises and embarrassments of being 17’.
A BBC spokesman said: ‘This is a witty observational sitcom written by someone who currently knows what it is like to be a teenager.
‘It is another pioneering comedy from the BBC.’
