Borat up for more gongs
Sacha Baron Cohen has been nominated for best comedy actor in the Golden Globes – and Borat is up for best comedy film.Cohen is up against Johnny Depp (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest), Aaron Eckhart (Thank You for Smoking), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Kinky Boots) and Will Ferrell (Stranger Than Fiction) in his acting category.
And the other nominees for best comedy or musical are The Devil Wears Prada, Dreamgirls, Little Miss Sunshine and Thank You for Smoking.
The shortlist for best actress in a comedy or musical are Annette Bening (Running with Scissors), Toni Collette (Little Miss Sunshine), Beyonce Knowles (Dreamgirls), Meryl Streep (The Devil Wears Prada) and Renee Zellweger (Miss Potter).
The nominees were announced in Los Angeles today, and the winners will be unveiled at a ceremony on January 15.
