Everett podcasts start today

Kenny Everett’s Captain Kremmen radio sketches are being released as a podcasts, starting today.

The comic created the sci-fi serial, which features the exploits of the spaceship commander and his ditzy sidekick Carla while he was on Capital Radio in the Seventies and Eighties. It later formed part of his TV show.

And now the station’s owner GCap media have decided to release the radio episodes over the internet in instalments.

The company has already launched a number of podcasts, including Comedy From Studio 7, which features new stand-ups, and London What’s On, which features a comedy guide provided by Chortle.

All the podcasts are available, free, from creationpodcasts.com and iTunes.

GCap says it hopes the podcasts will help build ‘one-to-one relationships with both new and existing listeners’ to appeal to advertisers.
