Little Britain gets waxed

New figures for Madame Tussauds

Madame Tussauds has unveiled its waxworks of Little Britain’s Lou and Andy.

The duo will be on display in the Baker Street tourist attraction from today – after visitors voted them as the personalities the would most like to see immortalised in wax.

A spokesman for Tussauds said: “The dim duo have been recreated in wax in every fine detail down to Lou's distinctive dentistry and Andy's trademark combover. “

The figures, which cost £100,000 each and took around three months to create, also repeat some of the shows catchphrases, specially recorded by Matt Lucas and David Walliams.

In one exchange, Lou asks Andy: "Would you like to take any of these waxworks home Andy?"

He replies: ‘Yeah I want that one, that one, that one, that one.”

The unveiling of the waxworks coincides with the release of the second series of Little Britain on DVD today. Click here to buy.
