Izzard to play super-villain
Eddie Izzard is to star opposite Uma Thurman in a new comedy movie about a superhero.
He will play the villainous Professor Bedlam in Ivan Reitman's comedy Super Ex.
The plot centres on a man, to be played by Owen Wilson, who breaks up with his girlfriend (Thurman) after learning she is a superhero. She then uses her powers to torment and embarrass him.
Reitman, most famous for directing Ghostbusters, has previous worked on Kindergarten Cop and Junior.
Izzard is currently developing a ‘dark’ comedy series for American cable channel FX.
