Hollywood says 'yes'

Movie deal for Wallace's book

A new book by Danny Wallace is set to be made into a film, with the backing of Hollywood star Jack Black.

Warner Bros has brought the rights to Yes Men, the latest ‘reality comedy’ book from former Dave Gorman collaborator Wallace, three months before it is due to be published.

The book tells of what happens when Wallace decided to say ‘yes’ to every opportunity or request that came his way, after meeting an odd stranger on a night bus. As a result, he found romance and happiness.

Shallow Hal star Black is to co-produce the movie version, through his Black and White production house. It will be adapted for the screen by former Saturday Night Live writer David Iserson.

Wallace, a former comedy critic and producer, was the flatmate who encouraged the epic quest Are You Dave Gorman?, and whose bestseller Join Me told of his success in setting up an international cult dedicated to random acts of kindness.
