Movie sequel in the pipeline
Rowan Atkinson is to make a follow-up to his 1997 comedy film Bean: the Ultimate Disaster Movie.
The comic has teamed up with Simon McBurney, the artistic director of Theatre de Complicité to develop a sequel.
Although the original was hardly a critical favourite, it was a worldwide blockbuster that made the famously reclusive Atkinson millions.
Hollywood trade paper Variety reports that shooting on Bean 2 is likely to start later this year, with McBurney, who has a reputation for innovative physical theatre, expected to direct the film.
